- Your offer and contract
-
The University website has helpful information about the type of offer you’ve been made. If you accept the offer, you enter into a contract with the University: you can find the details of this contract here.
If you hold a conditional offer of a place at Lincoln College, a letter has been sent to your UCAS referee inviting them to notify us of any extenuating circumstances that may have affected your performance on course and which may in consequence have an impact on your awarded grades this year. You can see a copy of the extenuating circumstances form that has been sent to your UCAS referee here. Your school should contact us before grades are released.
If you meet the conditions of your offer, you will receive your College contract in mid-August 2024 with your freshers’ registrations documents.
- Student Handbook
-
You will be sent a digital copy of the 2024-25 Student Handbook before you arrive. It forms part of your contract with the College. In the meantime, you can consult the 2023-24 version.
- Funding
-
Please see the University’s Fees and Funding page for comprehensive information about fees, living costs, scholarships, and bursaries. Please also see the Undergraduate Fees and Funding Guide. There is also guidance for UK and Islands students on how to apply for Government support.
Offer holders must return their Financial Declaration, confirming that they are aware of the full cost of their studies, and confirming how they intend to fund their first year, by 31 July 2024.
More than a quarter of undergraduates at Lincoln receive substantial bursaries in addition to any University support for which they are eligible. The financial need of all students is assessed through a range of information, including household income details provided for means-tested government support. You do not need to make a separate application for a College bursary.
Lincoln offers relocation grants (of up to £500) to eligible students once they have met the conditions of their offer and have had their places at Lincoln confirmed (this happens in the summer of the year of entry). Eligibility is determined using information from your UCAS form and the information you will provide on your college registration forms. The College also has a laptop loan scheme, allowing students to borrow a fully-supported laptop for the duration of their degree.
If you encounter unexpected financial difficulty during your time at Lincoln, the College can make grants from its Student Support Fund.
More information about the financial support offered by Lincoln can be found here.
- Visas
-
International students, including EU students who do have settled or pre-settled status, need to apply for a visa to study in the UK. Detailed information and guidance can be found on the University’s Visa and Immigration pages. Once you have an unconditional offer (all academic and financial conditions have been met) the College will contact you via email about the preparation of your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) number.
- Disability and welfare
-
The College and University provides extensive support for students with disabilities and long-term health conditions, including sensory or mobility impairments, specific learning difficulties, autistic spectrum conditions and mental health difficulties. Support is tailored to individual needs, and may include study support, examination adjustments and domestic arrangements. Please see the Disability Advisory Service’s website for detailed information about adjustments, support, and funding.
If you have a disability or long-term health condition please get in touch with us, even if you don’t think that you will need any support. The College’s Disability Co-Ordinator is always happy to talk to all offer holders about disability. The College’s Nurse, Counsellor, and Chaplain and Welfare Co-ordinator are also available for support and advice.
