Community Values
Lincoln is a diverse community, consisting of staff and students from all walks of life. This diversity is a great strength, and we are very proud of it. As a community, we are welcoming, inclusive, and open-minded - and we expect all new students to embrace these values. All members of Lincoln College are expected to treat each other with respect, courtesy, and consideration.
During Freshers’ Week, all new students attend a mandatory induction session called Respecting Others. This interactive workshop discusses our community values in detail, and will help you to explore the nuances of positive and negative behaviours with your new classmates.
If you experience harassment or other unwanted behaviour while studying at Lincoln, you can access support from the College in the way that best helps you. You can make a formal report under our Harassment Policy, or you can access advice and pastoral support in confidence – it is entirely your choice. The following people can be contacted for confidential advice:
- Welfare Co-Ordinator, Ms Lisa Stokes-King
- Anti-Racism Advocate, Dr Kimberly Palladino
- Harassment Advisors, Dr Jody LaPorte and Prof. J.P. Park
