I thought it would be a good idea to celebrate ten years’ service at Lincoln, and my impending retirement, with an exhibition of some of my favourite memories.
As a keen photographer, I have taken many photos of daily life at the College, various social activities outside, with some of the friends I have made.
The focus is not so much on Front Quad looking pretty – we all know what that looks like, but on me the individual, some of my colleagues and, of course, the students I have got to know so well over the years.
Almost all were taken with a basic compact camera, or my phone. The ones chosen are special to me and the quality is not in the composition, but in capturing a special moment in my career. Some special moments have been captured by others and credits given. Hopefully you will find them all uplifting!
It has been an incredible journey and working at Lincoln College has enriched my life in so many ways. I would like to think that my overall presence has been a positive one, and that those I have interacted with over the years have been left with a favourable impression of me, particularly the many students it has been a pleasure to serve.
Many thanks to Olivia Holder and Maria Murad for helping curate this, and for being my friends! Thanks also to all those who granted permissions. And not forgetting Michele McCartney and Jane Mitchell, for taking time out of their busy schedules to approve the photos and captions.
Not everyone I have ever positively interacted with is included, but there isn’t a wall long enough at Lincoln to include each and every one of you!
Practical information
All are welcome to view the exhibition throughout the term in the hallway of the Berrow Foundation Building.
