Lincoln is pleased to announce plans for a new scholarship, honouring the memory of Alexis Heeb (1973-2017). Alexis came up to Lincoln from Switzerland in 1998 to read for a DPhil in Politics, in which he studied violent crime, its perception, and public policy response in Colombia. His subsequent career was devoted to humanitarian assistance, including through the International Committee of the Red Cross, before his untimely death from cancer in 2017.
Alexis made many friends at Lincoln, and they have launched an appeal to establish the Alexis Heeb Research Scholarship Fund. This will be an endowed fund, and will provide up to three project grants each year for students enrolled in either undergraduate or graduate studies at Lincoln College.
To date, over £38,000 has been raised, against a target of £50,000. We welcome new donations, of any size, to help us reach our goal.
