Death of Sir John Boardman, supernumerary and Honorary Fellow

It is with sadness that we announce the death, on 23 May 2024, of Sir John Boardman OBE FBA. Sir John was Lincoln Professor of Archaeology from 1978 to 1994, and was elected to an Honorary Fellowship at the College upon his retirement. A full appreciation of Sir John will follow.

The College will fly the flag at halfmast to honour him and we extend our deepest condolences to his friends and family.
