We are delighted to invite you to the 2025 Annual John Wesley Lecture, taking place on Thursday, 22 May at 5:00pm at Lincoln College, Oxford. This year’s lecture, titled 'John Wesley and the Architecture of Early Methodism', will be delivered by Dr Mark Kirby, Child-Shuffrey Research Fellow in Architectural History at Lincoln College.
Dr Kirby will explore how the architectural environment of Oxford, especially the Lincoln College chapel, influenced Wesley’s theological and communal vision. The lecture delves into the relationship between sacred space and spiritual formation in early Methodism.
The event is free to attend and will be followed by a drinks reception. Both in-person and online attendance options are available - register here.
