Upcoming Event

Lincoln Open Gardens

Date/Time 3 Aug 2025, 11am-3pm
Location Lincoln College, Oxford
Attendees All welcome

We are delighted to open the College to the public for National Garden Scheme (NGS). It will be a chance to visit the Fellows' and Rector’s gardens and to see the external walls of the Chapel that are normally hidden from view. We will also have information around the route showing historical images of the grounds and information about the planting. The Head Gardener and the Garden Fellow will be in attendance to speak to visitors and answer questions. Please note that this won’t be a tour, but an opportunity to freely wander the signposted walk around the gardens.

Admission is £6 for non-college members, with all proceeds going to designated NGS charities. College members are always welcome to tour the grounds free of charge but, if you wish, you can donate on arrival at the welcome desk at the main entrance.

Booking is recommended, or you can turn up on the day.

About our grounds

Our gardens offer formal lawns, mixed borders in traditional and contemporary styles, container displays, climbing plants and mature trees. The gardens are laid out in the classic quadrangle style, where each passageway leads into a different ‘room’, creating a uniquely varied horticultural and architectural experience.
