Whan that Aprill with his shoures soote,
the droghte of March hath perced to the roote...
All Lincoln alumni, students, staff and Fellows are welcome to a Lincoln College pilgrimage day, on Sunday 25 May (5th week Trinity). We will walk a British Pilgrimage Trust route from Islip to Lincoln, stopping at various points along the way (churches, pubs, sites of historical interest). The route is 10 miles, and we'll meet at 9:00am in Islip.
We conclude at Lincoln College Chapel around 4:00pm, where all are welcome to rest and have refreshments, and to join us for Evensong at 6:00pm. This is an inclusive event for all, regardless of belief.
Please note that 25 May is a Bank Holiday; it is also Rogation Sunday, which asks for a community to be blessed, often by 'beating the bounds', i.e. walking along parish boundaries. It is therefore a good day for a community walk!
