Graduate Returning Carers’ Research Fund

Research grants up to a maximum of £450 are available for fee-paying graduate students (i.e. those within the normal fee liability) who have suspended their status as students because of maternity or other caring responsibilities. The fund is intended to help cover academic travel costs (for conferences, fieldworks, electives and archival visits) during the period of suspension.

Students may apply to the fund for a single year during each period of suspension. Several applications may be made within a single year, but only if the total amount applied for does not exceed the maximum grant (£450).

Application deadline

Please complete the application form below. Applications should be submitted at least seven days before the Senior Tutor's Committee meetings held on the Wednesday of 1st and 7th week in each term.
