Our 5th Pathfinders Event

18 Sep 2024

Pupils and staff from across Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire journeyed to the University of Lincoln on the 10th of September for the fifth Pathfinders event.

Pathfinders is a continuous contact programme for pupils eligible for free school meals in years 9-11 and was developed by Lincoln College. Participants attend two in-person sessions a year, in September at the home of our partners at UoL and in Oxford in the spring. This year’s Lincoln event was health focused, with over 80 students attending sessions on Biochemistry with Professor Roberts and Medical ethics with Professor Emptage as well meeting student representatives from paramedical science, nursing and psychology. The event was a great success with participants finding the mixture of practical and theoretical sessions particularly inspiring.

We greatly look forward to welcoming our Pathfinders again in March, where we will celebrate the graduation of our original year 11 pupils.
