Open Lincoln: Our 600 Campaign Theme for 2025–26

Lincoln College 600th anniversary ‘Open Lincoln’ logo featuring the number 600 in red with crossed silver keys forming the centre of the zeros, and the words ‘Open Lincoln’ beneath.

Following on from last year's Global Lincoln theme, the 2025-26 academic year will focus on Open Lincoln as the central theme of our 600 Campaign. The theme encompasses not only access and outreach, but openness in its widest sense: open doors, open minds and open opportunities.

Open Lincoln will be a time for people to be welcomed to Lincoln and parts of the College they wouldn’t usually be able to see. There will be opportunities to visit the Archives, the Senior Library, the painted rooms and other lesser-known areas of the College. It’s also a time for us to focus on our outreach and access efforts to encourage the best and brightest students to study here, regardless of socioeconomic background.

To this end, we are raising funds for bursaries and scholarships and have been given an incredibly generous gift of £500K to match all new or increased gifts to bursaries/scholarships. The donor will match each gift up to £50K. Please email the Development Office for further details.

We aim to support the students once they arrive here, so are encouraging donors to support travel and internship funds as well as hardship grants.

We are also raising funds to support the activities of our Access and Outreach team. This includes an annual teaching conference, study days, the Pathfinders programme and other activities.

By opening our doors physically and metaphorically, we are hoping more people will discover how warm and welcoming the Lincoln community is.
