Green Action Week, which runs from 10-14 February, is a university-wide engagement campaign that aims to inspire positive environmental action. This year, there is a special emphasis on the ‘actions’ that can drive better practices and behaviour change to help lead tangible results.
The Green Impact Team at Lincoln is working hard on completing the toolkit this year for the submission date of the 22 May. In an effort to achieve a beyond Gold Award this year, the Team is hosting multiple events throughout the week for the University’s Green Action Week. Check out the Lincoln events below and the many taking place across the University.

Six ways inequality holds back behaviour change for climate action
Wednesday 12 February 1:30-2:30pm, Lower Lecture Room, Lincoln College
In this talk with postdoc Emma Garnet, she asks: Are improvements to green technologies, like better batteries and more efficient solar panels, enough on their own to tackle climate change? Unfortunately not. Our behaviour and lifestyles must change too. Rolling out the solutions to climate change (electric vehicles, solar power, heat pumps) will require confronting the enormous gulf in wealth and resources separating the richest and poorest people – both within countries and between them. In this talk I'll make the case for why inequality remains one of the biggest barriers to the net zero transition.
