I joined the College as Senior Tutor in 2019. I am originally from South Africa and I studied Classics and English at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. I came to Oxford in 2007 to do my doctorate in Roman History at Brasenose College. Before joining Lincoln, I taught Ancient History at Oxford for a number of years.
As Senior Tutor I oversee the academic life of the College and help students to deal with any academic difficulties they may face during their time here. The role of Senior Tutor at Lincoln also incorporates the roles of Tutor for Admissions and Tutor for Graduates: I oversee the College’s provision for graduate students and the admission of around 210 new undergraduate and graduate students each year.
