Profile
Jessie is a first-year DPhil in Geography and the Environment researching climate change adaptation. She's originally from Chicago, IL USA, but has lived in Sheffield, UK for the last 14 years, so will happily explain why Chicago makes superior hot dogs and pizza and why Henderson’s is better than Worcester sauce. Jessie is passionate about the environment and helping people and organisations take action to tackle the climate emergency – so much so that a couple of years ago she quit her job to retrain as a sustainability practitioner. As Environment Rep, Jessie is part of the College Green Impact Team, and works with the Sustainability Officer, JCR and wider MCR committee to improve sustainability at Lincoln. Her main focuses for this year are reducing waste, closing the value-action gap by making it easier for you to make sustainable choices and campaigning for a greener food strategy. If you have any ideas, suggestions or questions, don’t hesitate to reach out!
