Global Lincoln

Graduate Scholarships

Our students are part of a lively, international community, split equally between undergraduates and graduates, and selected on the grounds of ability alone. At the graduate level, students come to study both Master's and DPhil courses, from many different countries. We are proud to offer a wide range of scholarships, many of which are available to candidates from across the world.

Given the higher cost of overseas tuition fees, such scholarships are essential if we are to recruit the best graduate students. Scholarships can range in value from £2000 to full funding where tuition fees and living expenses are covered. We are often able to maximise donations by matching them with other schemes.

In the lead up to our 600th year, we're looking to support more graduate students than ever before. It costs £50,000 to endow a scholarship in perpetuity and it is only due to the generosity of Lincoln alumni and friends that we are able to achieve this. The gift may be paid out over 5 years and can be named in honour of yourself or a loved one. The College will draw down at the College’s prevailing endowment drawdown rate (currently 3% per annum) to fund a scholarship for a student.

All donors will receive an annual letter from the student they support and will also be invited to an annual dinner in College for the chance to meet current scholarship recipients.

"I have tremendously enjoyed my time at Lincoln. The Clarendon Scholarship, co-funded by Lincoln, gave me a life-changing experience and life-long friends. To my mind, Lincoln is one of the best colleges, with a warm atmosphere, a wide variety of events, and diverse support opportunities for students."

"My time at Lincoln, and by extension Oxford, has broadened my horizons. I arrived here with specific goals. However, the exposure to incredible opportunities and people have expanded my vision of what's possible, encouraging me to think beyond my initial plans. The Sloane Robinson Foundation-Weidenfeld-Hoffman Trust Scholarship has been transformative beyond just financial support. It has truly been a life changing opportunity, enabling me to develop both academically and personally.
