Profile

I’m Lucy, a second-year historian.  During Hilary term, when many of us were faced with studying at home, online events with Lincoln alumni made me feel part of our wonderful College community despite our collective remoteness.  I therefore jumped at the chance to be a caller because the Telethon is a great way to strengthen the connections and feelings of togetherness between students and alumni which are so valuable, especially in these challenging times.  As a history student, I am fascinated by the College’s rich history and look forward to hearing the stories of past Lincolnites, which reinforce this sense of connectivity.  Last term, I re-established Lincoln’s History Society with a group of first-year historians and was grateful to receive a contribution from the Annual Fund which supported our first events in Trinity and will allow us to grow in the future.  I am also on the committee of Lincoln’s upcoming Michaelmas musical, The Legend of Troy, and look forward to putting on a fantastic show with the help of our Annual Fund budget.  Being a caller is important to me as I want to help ensure that student projects such as these can continue to thrive.
