What are the rules around social distancing?
It is important that you follow the rules for social distancing:
- Please keep 2m distance from anyone who is not a member of your household
- Do not congregate in passageways, staircases, outside of rooms, or in high-traffic areas
- Face coverings must be worn during in-person teaching, inside all indoor shared spaces, and when queuing for meals
- All public and teaching rooms must be cleaned after use. Please follow the cleaning instructions posted in these rooms
- Please sanitise your hands before entering the lodges, dining areas, rooms, or public spaces
- Please refer to the guidance elsewhere on this page about socialising with people from outside of your household
Social distancing at 2m is a key feature of the hygiene and safety measures that the University and all colleges have in place. Face coverings are not a substitute for this and other hygiene and safety measures, such as being tested when displaying symptoms, self-isolating when unwell or advised to, enhanced cleaning regimes, and regular hand-washing. Please note that you must follow all Covid-related procedures even if you have been vaccinated.
