Clerk of Works
The Clerk of Works is the Head of the College’s Maintenance Department and is responsible for the general management of the College’s buildings and premises, working in line with legislation and protocol.
There is a significant project management element to the role and the Clerk of Works will be responsible for planning and implementing maintenance and refurbishment programmes, overseeing new building projects, and developing new initiatives to improve the College’s accommodation
The successful candidate will hold a HNC/HND Building management related qualification of equivalent. They will have a comprehensive understanding of the building industry and building management processes and working knowledge of legislative and regulatory framework and the ability to keep abreast of College policies, structures, developments and initiatives in order to ensure that relevant financial aspects are considered and reported appropriately.
Salary will be equivalent to £45,585 to £48,350 per annum, with the entry point dependent on experience. Benefits include free lunches when on duty, a contributory staff pension scheme and holiday entitlement of 30 days per annum.
